The Bishop and the Piper; Hamline University:
The inspiration for the Hamline University painting came from two primary sources. First, my hometown is Roseville and as a In the Hamline painting, as with many of my paintings, I hope to capture the human emotion of being in a specific setting. The aesthetic interpretation of the campus, which is important, does not direct the course of the painting. While I was contemplating this piece I ultimately wanted to portray how a student feels walking among the landscaping and architecture. I envision the students as proud and fortunate to be in such a gorgeous academic setting.

Dinkytown USA; Nice Ride Minnesota:
This painting was created for Nice Ride Minnesota. The final image has been used on a bus ad and on the Nice Ride Minnesota web site. When I was asked to work on this project I was excited to represent Dinkytown because I was in the process of completing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota. At least a couple of days a week I would stroll through Dinkytown to class and thoroughly enjoyed the energy that is unique to Dinkytown.

She went to St. Paul to see the river and the lights and Minneapolis is a good place to get lost; PrairieCare:
These two paintings were created for PrairieCare Medical in Maple Grove. PrairieCare began outpatient programs in the Twin Cities for children and adolescents. These programs expanded quickly serving all ages and populations offering intensive outpatient psychiatric services treating a wide range of conditions. For this project Prairie Care identified existing work they liked and gave me size specifications to fit their space.

Family Portrait:
I created these two paintings for a client as a family portrait. When I was approached they asked if I would use my hero characters to represent the members of their family. I then created these two for them to select from.

Portrait:
Here is a portrait that I was asked to create as a birthday gift. I used a classic school photo as the inspiration for these two paintings.
