Our baby is now almost 7 weeks old. She is such a focus for our house now, feeding, changing, sleeping
and so on. Some of the things I wasn't expecting stick with me and are real noticeable. Whenever I stare at her I see
her family history, aunts uncles, grandparents and her mom and dad. While she stares fixed on the ceiling I'm wondering
about her interest, her personality, her voice and her style. It' s wonder what pops into your head as you stare at your
7 week old baby.
I'm in the process of re-organizing my home studio and getting
ready to paint starting in January. The baby will obviously be the focus, what is she thinking, what was I thinking at that
age, what was I experiencing. the playground series really started to capture some of the memories that I had for myself and
that I hope for her. I think these are moments that we all hope to share and remember.
also be revisiting the long standing journey series and attempt to tie in some specific philosophies. Since the journey series
was inspired by the journeys of Buddhist monks, I am going to carry on the theme with Buddhist inspired work and develop,
I hope some thoughtful work based on some Buddhist sayings and meditations.
